Fermeuse Wind Power Project
Elemental acquired the 27 MW Fermeuse project in December 2009. The project was originally developed by SkyPower and began commercial operation in July 2009 with a long-term power purchase agreement with Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro.

The project is comprised of nine 3.0 MW Vestas wind turbines
Fermeuse is located in the southeast corner of Newfoundland
The project provides enough electricity for approximately 6000 households
Site services are supplied by Vestas Canada and enXco
BOX CANYON HYDRO CORP.
With business partner Sound Energy Inc., Elemental Energy through its subsidiary Box Canyon Hydro Corp., is currently planning the development of the Box Canyon power plant on the northwest side of Howe Sound on BC’s Sunshine Coast.

PROJECT STATS
The 15MW run-of-river power plant will be located on Box Canyon Creek near Port Mellon, BC
The site contains over 500 metres of hydraulic head and is near a 138kV British Columbia Transmission Corporation power line
Transportation to the site is relatively easy with tide water access and a logging road infrastructure already in place
The plant will be developed to meet or exceed all environmental requirements from both provincial and federal governments

Arbutus also seeks acquisitions of operating facilities in the Western United States.
